Purpose
To support interdisciplinary research in the fields of Korean Medicine/Pharmacology by collecting and processing specialized research information of the two fields into valuable information
Role
· Analyzing quantitative research trends using papers and patents in the related fields for application in the basic research policies (main) · Constructing a database on research trends by considering the characteristics of each field and providing service
· Constructing database on research resources and providing service
· Developing specialized content and providing service
Expected Effects
· Establishing scientific policy-based infrastructure through analyzing the trend in basic research regarding quantitative methodology· Establishing a foundation for researchers to flexibly respond to the changes in the R&D environment through the establishment and joint use of professional research information
· Actively managing the structural changes regarding information distribution through standardizing the database and providing service through mobile phones
Introduction to KMCRIC
The Korean Medicine Convergence Research Information Center (KMCRIC), established in 2013, provides a research database on our website (www.KMCRIC.com). The database provides specialized research information from Korea and foreign countries on Korean Medicine/Pharmacology and Complementary/Alternative Medicine/Pharmacology that is based on evidence based medical methodology.By providing refined professional information and providing a place to exchange information for research, we intend to enhance research competency in the field of Korean Medicine/Pharmacology and related studies.
The research resources will not only be useful for practitioners, but also for researchers and the public in various fields and will be established as a useful evidence-based infrastructure on Korean Medicine/Pharmacology. We aim to be a prestigious information provider to even foreign researchers studying the field.
What information will be provided on the website?
The information provided by KMCRIC covers not only the various theories, diagnoses, and treatments in Korean Medicine and Complementary Alternative Medicine, but also can cover Western Medicine/Pharmacology, Veterinary Science, and Biotechnology to provide interdisciplinary information.
Who will benefit from our research information?
Potential users are researchers in the field that require the data, but also interdisciplinary researchers, clinicians, patients, and policy makers.
What are the function and benefits of providing the information?
There are many databases that provide primary research information, but our database provides quality information based on evidence-based medical methodology. This allows to help researchers and clinicians find quality information quickly. It also provides a foundation to promote and strengthen dissemination to quickly reflect latest findings in clinical trials and policy. In addition, it helps to easily identify the latest research trends in the field through expert reviews.
