| Intro | The department of Spleen System is a branch of Korean Internal Medicine where the education, research and treatment of spleen system related diseases of the Five Zhangfu System is carried out. The Spleen System is where the reception of food, digestion, absorption, and discharge happens. It includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, pancreas and spleen related to digestive diseases, and immune disease such as food allergies, and chronic fatigue. Therefore, the department's goal is to study and educate knowledge on physiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cultivation and to develop clinical skills. In recent times, with changes in food lifestyle and excessive mental stress, the incidence rate for digestive disorders is increasing. Statistically, the highest field of diagnosis and treatment is for digestive disorders, which calls for the importance of the role of the Department of Spleen System. |
