| Intro | The Department of Korean Medical Obstetrics and Gynecology focuses on female-specific urogenital disease. As the first specialized field to be established in the history of Korean Medicine, it is a representative specialty that is constantly improving through the clinical efficacy of Korean Medicine. Main areas of treatment, education, and research are pelvic disease related to female genitalia, breast disease, diagnosis and treatment of the pregnant and post-partum body, and management of general symptoms that manifest more frequently in women such as coldness in hands and feet. In terms of disease name and syndromes, we deal with Emmeniopathy(dysmennorrhea, hypermenorrhea, epimannorhea, hypomenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, amenorrhea), Uterine myoma, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Oophorocystosis, Pelvic pain syndrome, Infertility, Hyperemesis gravidarum, Post-partum syndrome(joint pain, chills, depression, etc). We use traditional diagnostic methods of looking, listening, asking, pulse taking together with contemporary diagnostic tools such as pulse diagnosis, Yangdorak diagnosis, D.I.T.I, sonography with comprehensive treatment methods including traditional Korean Medical treatments such as herbal medicinals(oral, external application), moxibustion, acupuncture. |

| What we do | 1) Education of definition and history of the department of Korean Medical obstetrics and gynecology, anatomical structure and endocrine characteristics of the female genitalia 2) Research on the physiological and pathological characteristics of menstruation, changes in the female body pre and post-partum. 3) Research on pathology, diagnosis and treatment of female oncology from both medicine of the East and West 4) Diagnosis and treatment of menstruation disorders, infertility, female oncology, pregnancy disorder, post-partum disease in Korean Medicine |
