| Intro | The Department of Korean Pediatrics diagnose and treat newborns, infants, children, and teenagers under the age of 18, in general pediatrics, allergic disease, respiratory disease, skin disease, urologic disease, spastic disease, paralytic disease, growth and tester's health. It strives to help children grow as physically and mentally healthy individuals through diagnosis and treatment of disease by Korean Medicine and offering guidance on cultivation. | ||

| Prospects | The department deals with general conditions of children from infancy to adolescence, treating various pediatric disease and studying prevention and cultivation methods. We not only manage the physical health of growth impaired or weak children, and test-taking students, but also their mental health, approaching problems of all levels a child could experience in the process of growth from the perspective of Korean Medicine. We strive to combine traditional Korean Medical knowledge with medical technique of today for the development of a new pediatrics, and to apply research findings in treating children. In the past decades, various therapies based on cultivation methods of Korean Medicine has been proven to be effective in treating allergic and neuropsychiatric conditions. Korean Medical treatment based on the same evidences have been of great effect in treating other pediatric developmental diseases, in other words, children who are physically and mentally weak to develop strongly. As pediatric conditions reflect the economic and environmental surroundings of a given time, they have manifested in different forms in the course of time. Based on the basic principle of Korean Medicine were the body is seen as whole, the department aims to search for remedies to these changing conditions and have shown many promising results. There is new recognition in child care that emphasizes nature and finds value in the traditional ways. With more and more parents hoping to nurture their children into healthy intelligent beings, the demand for the Department of Pediatrics in Korean Medicine is continuously rising. As such, we are striving to earn meaningful academic results. |
