| Intro | The Department of Clinical Research of Korean Medicine requires students to learn basic knowledge and methodology of clinical research, to develop new clinical research methodology that reflects the qualities of Korean Medicine. We cultivate well-experienced researchers through actual research performance. | ||
| What we do | The department's education goal is threefold. First, in the field of clinical research, to introduce research methodology and learn related regulations and guidelines. Also, to develop research proposals and case study forms, and to research clinical data analysis and interpretation methodology. Second, in the field of evidence-based medicine, to learn medical statistics methodology for clinical research design and analysis, and to train in scientific writing. In this process, students get to practice systematic literature review and meta-analysis. Third, in the field of clinical pharmacology, Korean Medicine related early stage clinical experiment methodology is developed and implemented, through which specialists of clinical research are cultivated by doing interdisciplinary work between clinical and basic Korean Medicine | ||
| Prospects | With growing interest in traditional medicine worldwide, demand for scientific evidence has been increasing as well. As such, the demand for Korean Medicine related clinical research has been growing, leading to demand for specialists. To match such demands, the Department of Clinical Research of Korean Medicine aims to produce professionals in various fields such as clinical research, CRC, CRA, project manager, clinical pharmacologist, clinical statistician, data manager that specialize in KM. We hope for these professionals to enter into government sectors, national research institutions, clinical research institutions such as University hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, etc., to play a meaningful role. | ||
